Yukon Soaps Essentials: Made with Plants Harvested Under the Midnight Sun

Hidden in the remote northern reaches of the boreal forest, our local shop provides a space for natural soap making and creativity. At Yukon Soaps, we’re harvesters, makers, and storytellers. Each product in our collection carries the spirit, strength, and charm of the Yukon wild. We are sharing some Yukon Soaps Essentials. Each item in this list is made with the gifts of this land, lovingly hand-harvested and prepared by us.

The Heart of Our Craft

From spruce tips to wild rose petals, juniper berries to yarrow, we gather plants the traditional way—with our hands, our Elder’s knowledge, and our respect. Every harvest is done thoughtfully and respectfully, ensuring that we take only what we need and always give thanks to the land. These boreal botanicals hold medicine, memory, and tradition.

What Makes Yukon Soaps Unique?

  • Hand-Harvested Plants
We go out onto the land to gather each plant ourselves with our team or local community. Whether it’s Labrador tea for our calming soaps or fireweed for our seasonal blends, we make sure it’s local, wild, and sustainably harvested.
  • Rooted in Indigenous Knowledge
The practices behind our harvesting method comes from teachings passed through generations. We use plants not just for their scent and beauty, but for their story and how they’ve been used for healing, ceremony, and self-care as taught by our Elders.
  • Made in Small Batches
Every soap bar, bath salt, and salve is poured, stirred, or blended in small batches, ensuring quality and connection. You’re not getting something mass-produced—you’re getting something handmade with care.

Ingredients You Find in Yukon Soaps Items:

  • Spruce Tips – Fresh and citrusy, known for their antimicrobial properties and bright fragrance.
  • Labrador Tea – Traditionally used in teas and salves, great for calming the skin.
  • Wild Rose Petals & Rose Hips – Gentle, floral, and rich in vitamin C, ideal for nourishing the skin and spirit.
  • Fireweed – A symbol of resilience, it soothes inflammation and brings a soft scent.
  • Juniper Berries – Earthy, grounding, and known for their cleansing qualities.
  • Yarrow – A well known medicine plant, used to calm inflammation and promote skin health.

When you choose one of our handmade products, you’re taking a little bit of the Yukon home with you. You’re connecting to the land, to culture, to something rooted. These plants grew under midnight sun and  they were harvested by hands that respect them.

In a world that’s moving fast, Yukon Soaps invites you to slow down and return to what matters: the land, the people, and the plants that sustain us. Whether it’s your first time trying our soaps or you’ve been a part of our journey for years, we’re grateful to share these boreal items with you.
